⚠️ Why Other Options FAIL During Spring Break

Don’t risk your vacation start – here’s what happens if you don’t pre-book:

Expert Spring Break Travel Tips

Make your Puerto Vallarta spring break epic from arrival to departure

1. Book Transfer When Booking Flights

Spring break transportation sells out 2-3 weeks before peak dates (March 15-25). Book your transfer immediately after flights are confirmed – it’s one less thing to worry about.

2. Have One Sober Friend Manage Arrival

Designate one person to stay (relatively) sober on the flight, handle meeting driver, and get group to hotel. Everyone else can start the party – just have one responsible person.

3. Screenshot Transfer Confirmation

Save confirmation offline on your phone. Include driver contact number. Airports have spotty WiFi and you’ll want details accessible when you land.

4. Coordinate Your Crew Beforehand

Confirm everyone’s flight arrival time. If friends arrive on different flights, book separate transfers or coordinate one pickup time that works for everyone.

5. Bring Cash for Tips & Clubs

Bring USD cash ($5-10 to tip driver, $20-50 for club cover charges and drinks). Many beach clubs are cash-only. ATMs charge high fees during spring break.

6. Book Round Trip Together

Reserve your return airport transfer now too. Departure day you’ll be hungover and exhausted – having pickup confirmed weeks ahead means one less thing to stress about when vacation ends.

Spring Break Arrival Logistics: What to Expect

Most spring break flights arrive between midnight-4am. Here’s the timeline from wheels down to hotel check-in:

Total time from landing to hotel: 60-120 minutes. Your driver waits patiently through all of this – no rush, no extra fees.

Spring Break Transfer FAQs

Can you handle drunk college students?

Absolutely – we’ve been doing spring break transfers for 15+ years. Our drivers are experienced, patient professionals who understand spring break energy. We’ve safely transported thousands of college groups. As long as everyone stays respectful and safe, we’re happy to get you to your hotel no matter how much you partied on the plane. Just no throwing up in the van please (bags provided if needed!).

What if half our group arrives on a different flight?

You have two options:

  • Option 1 (Recommended): Book two separate transfers, one for each flight. This way everyone gets picked up when they land, no waiting around.
  • Option 2: Book one transfer timed for the later flight. First group waits at airport (there’s a Starbucks and bars in terminal) until second flight lands, then everyone goes together. Works if flights are 1-2 hours apart.

Call us at +52-322-107-9279 and we’ll help coordinate the best plan for your group logistics.

Do you offer late-night club pickups during spring break?

Yes – we provide 24/7 transportation during spring break season. If you’re at Mandala, La Vaquita, or any PV club and need safe ride back to hotel at 2am-4am, call/WhatsApp +52-322-107-9279 and we’ll dispatch a driver. This is separate from your airport transfer, but we’re available anytime you need safe transportation. Price depends on pickup location and hotel – typically $25-40 USD for most routes.

Can we bring alcohol in the vehicle?

Unopened alcohol in luggage is fine – open containers are not allowed. Mexican law prohibits open alcohol in vehicles (driver liability). You can bring duty-free bottles or beer in your checked bags no problem. But you can’t drink during the transfer. Save the party for when you get to the hotel – it’s only a 20-40 minute ride!

What’s the cancellation policy for spring break transfers?

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival. We understand spring break plans change – flights get switched, people bail, etc. Cancel or modify your transfer up to 48 hours before scheduled pickup time for full refund. Within 48 hours, cancellations are non-refundable (we’ve already assigned your driver and blocked that time slot during our busiest season).

Is Puerto Vallarta safe for spring breakers?

Yes – PV is one of Mexico’s safest tourist destinations. The hotel zone, marina, and tourist areas are heavily policed and very safe. That said, use common spring break safety sense:

  • Don’t accept drinks from strangers
  • Travel in groups, especially late at night
  • Use our pre-booked transfers vs. random taxis
  • Don’t flash expensive jewelry/electronics
  • Stay in tourist areas (hotel zone, marina, downtown malecón)
  • Watch your drinks at clubs (drink tampering rare but possible)

Millions of spring breakers have visited PV safely over the decades. Just be smart and you’ll have an amazing, safe trip.

Can we fit 10 people in a van?

Our standard vans are rated for 8 passengers + luggage. We can sometimes fit 10 people if you’re all traveling light (backpacks only, no checked bags). But for 10+ people with luggage, you need either:

  • Sprinter Van: Holds up to 18 people + luggage ($150 USD to most zones)
  • Two Vehicles: Van for 8 + Suburban for 2-4 extras

When booking, tell us exactly how many people and how many checked bags – we’ll recommend the right vehicle size.

What if our spring break flight gets canceled?

Contact us ASAP and we’ll reschedule for free. If your flight gets canceled (happens occasionally during spring break due to weather or overbooking), just WhatsApp us at +52-322-107-9279 with your new flight details. We’ll move your transfer to the new date/time at no charge. No penalties for flight cancellations outside your control – we get it, airlines mess up sometimes.
