How you'll find us at the airport.

Exit the arrivals terminal

After you clear customs, exit the terminal and keep walking straight toward the main doors — your host is waiting outside, not inside the arrivals hall.

Walk straight outside — past the gauntlet

Inside, you'll pass a row of people offering taxis, tours, and timeshare “help.” You don't need any of it — walk straight past them and step outside.

Don't stop at any booth or let anyone carry your bags inside the terminal; our host is just past the exit doors.

Look for the khaki + black guayabera uniform

Just outside the exit, look for your host in khaki pants and a black guayabera, holding a sign with your name and our logo.

They'll call your vehicle

The host greets you, takes a moment to confirm the booking, and radios your driver — who's already in the staging area and arrives at the curb in under two minutes. Your bags go in. Your trip begins. During the ride, ask anything you need. Recommendations, restaurant tips, local advice — your driver is at your service.

Your driver's uniform

Embroidered shirt + khaki pants — distinctive on purpose.

A small concierge note from us.

Puerto Vallarta's arrivals corridor is full of friendly people offering rides and “free” tours. They aren't us. Keep walking past them — our host is waiting just outside the exit with your name on a sign.

About this transfer

GuideUpdated July 20, 20263 min read

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita sits on the gated Punta Mita peninsula, 43-45 km north of Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). A private door-to-door transfer runs 60-75 minutes up Federal Highway 200 through Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerías, and La Cruz. Flight tracking, meet-and-greet, child seats, and the peninsula gate registration are all handled for you.

How long is the transfer from PVR to Four Seasons Punta Mita?

The drive from Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR, Lic. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz) to Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita covers roughly 43-45 km, almost entirely north on Federal Highway 200 through Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerías, and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle before the peninsula access road. Off-peak the ride is about 60-75 minutes — the longest of the main Punta Mita properties, since the resort sits toward the far end of the peninsula. During high season and holiday weekends, add 10-20 minutes for the stretch past La Cruz toward the gate. Your driver tracks your flight in real time and plans the route around live traffic, so the pickup time follows your actual landing, not the scheduled one.

Getting through the Punta Mita gate

Punta Mita is a private, gated peninsula: every property inside — Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita included — sits past a security checkpoint that vehicles cannot pass without an advance clearance. We register your name and your resort with the gate before your arrival, so the guard waves your driver straight through instead of turning you back for a call-ahead. This is the single most common reason unprepared taxis get stuck at the entrance, and it is handled for you as part of the booking.

What's included in your Four Seasons Punta Mita transfer?

  • Private vehicle — no shared stops, no waiting on other travelers.
  • English-speaking driver who meets you just outside PVR arrivals with a sign showing your name.
  • Flight tracking — the pickup time adjusts automatically if you land early or late.
  • Child seats and bottled water on request (add a note to your booking).
  • Tolls, taxes, and the Punta Mita gate registration — no roadside surprises.
  • Direct drop-off at the Four Seasons Punta Mita entrance, past the peninsula checkpoint.

Inside the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita is the flagship luxury property on the peninsula. The resort is built around two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses — the Pacífico course, known for its natural island green surrounded by the Pacific, and the Bahía course, which winds along the coastline — making it the clear pick for golfers. Beyond the fairways, the resort's pool complex includes a lazy river and three pools spread across the property, giving families and non-golfing guests plenty to do without leaving the grounds. That combination of championship golf and family-friendly resort amenities is what separates the Four Seasons from the smaller, more design-focused properties elsewhere on the peninsula.

Four Seasons Punta Mita among the peninsula resorts

Four Seasons Punta Mita shares the peninsula — and the same gated security checkpoint — with the St. Regis, Conrad, and W Punta de Mita. What sets it apart once you are through the gate is scale and program: the two Nicklaus golf courses and the multi-pool, lazy-river layout make it the property golfers and families book first, where the W skews adults-only design-forward and the St. Regis leans into beachfront butler service. Because the whole peninsula is registration-controlled, booking your transfer in advance matters more here than for the open resort zones closer to the airport, where a driver can simply pull up to the lobby.

Planning your arrival at PVR

After you clear immigration and collect your bags at PVR, walk straight out the arrivals exit. Ignore the tour and timeshare desks inside the terminal — your host waits just outside, holding a sign with your name and our logo, and there is no upsell to work through. From there it is a single direct ride to Four Seasons Punta Mita. If you are travelling with golf bags, a group, or extra luggage, note it when you book so we assign a van, Suburban, or Sprinter with room to spare rather than a standard sedan.
