Bucerías sits roughly 20-28 km north of PVR airport via Federal Highway 200, just past Nuevo Vallarta and across the Ameca River into Nayarit. Under normal conditions the drive is 25-35 minutes. Peak-hour traffic (Friday afternoons, holiday weekends) can add 15-20 minutes. Federal 200 is a fast divided highway for most of the route.

PVR has a single main terminal with international arrivals on the ground floor. After immigration and customs, walk straight out through the exit doors — our host is waiting immediately outside the terminal holding a sign with your name and our logo. Do not engage with the timeshare and taxi representatives inside the terminal corridor. Keep walking straight out to the exterior.

Bucerías hotels split into two distinct areas: a beachfront strip of larger resorts and vacation-suite complexes, and a walkable town centro with boutique and vacation-rental options a few blocks from the sand. Royal Decameron Complex Bucerías is the largest all-inclusive on the beachfront, with multiple towers and resort-style amenities. Vista Vallarta All Suites on the Beach and Bahia del Sol Vacation Suites are smaller all-suite properties closer to the water, popular with families who want a kitchenette. Marlin Bungalows & Suites sits nearer to the town center, within walking distance of the beachfront restaurants. Whichever property you book, tell us the exact hotel or rental address at checkout so your driver goes straight to the right entrance instead of the general Bucerías town limit.

Every PVR to Bucerías transfer is priced per vehicle, not per passenger, so a group of six pays the same flat rate as a couple riding in the same vehicle class. Rates run from $67 USD for a Taxi (up to 3 passengers) to $218 USD for a Sprinter (up to 18 passengers) for larger groups, weddings, or family reunions. Select your party size at checkout and the right vehicle option is shown automatically — every rate already includes the driver, tolls, flight tracking, and child seats.

The Taxi option is available for arrivals only. Standard, Suburban SUV, Van, and Sprinter also cover your departure transfer back to PVR on the same all-inclusive per-vehicle rate, so a return group doesn't need to arrange a separate departure taxi. Bucerías sits in the middle of the PVR-to-Riviera Nayarit corridor along Federal Highway 200 — farther than Marina Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta, closer than La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Punta Mita. Every zone north of the airport adds driving time as Federal 200 continues toward the Punta Mita peninsula. Marina Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta are the shortest transfers, close to the airport on the Jalisco side of the state line; La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Punta Mita continue north toward the tip of the peninsula with longer drive times.
